I see no harm that the inaugural issue of BLJ come out slightly earlier than the scheduled date...So, it's now here, our first issue of the magazine contributed by a group of 20 outstanding poets, authors and artists. Their level of skills and imagination goes much beyond our anticipation and that gives us extra power and spirit to produce the magazine. I guess that's the very reason we initiated BLJ in the first place - to look for talented people to contribute to the young literary world. I personally adore the collection very much and I feel sorry that the layout of the issue might not have fully acknowledged the depth and significance of every single entry. The content of this project is simply too good for us to handle! It's such a relief now that it's finally put together and can be released to the public.

While I may take a very short break from designing the next issue, potential submitters should not stop creating new works and sending them in! Have fun reading and creating!

2015 should be a tremendously exciting year for everybody, particularly for BLJ! We expect our first baby to be born on 1 Feb 2015. The manuscript is almost complete with the feedback given by the wonderfully talented contributors having previewed the issue. Our job is now giving the issue some final touches before officially releasing it. We hope it can reach many many readers (young and old!) and be adored by them. We're always moved by hearing people say that they're looking forward to reading our production. This gives us energy to continue to work for our readers. Stay tuned!
